Sleeping Within (2009-8-27)

Sleeping within…
then comes böqer*
exalting your radiance
beaming your affections
lifted with your reflection
glistening off streets of gold.
My soul can slumber no more.
I hope those now-lost-souls,
eyes tied shut, around me
will awake and arise
to the expanse
of your obsession
with each impassioned response.
May each one be-awaken to love!

Within Waiting (2009-8-25)

This is the voice of the bride inspired from the Song of Songs

Within Waiting

Your pant
Captures my emotions
but runs away swiftly
Whispering past my hearing,
“I’ll be back soon!”
My love is behind the lattice
And I am within, waiting
For just the scent of your breath,
Again.

Let Heaven Come Down (2009-8-24)

Let it be done
Thundering
Lightning
Across the pitch-black of lightlessness

Grandeur revealed
Travesty
Majesty
His glorious appearing subdues

No one escapes
Righteousness
Comeliness
At Reconciliation’s Moment

No one escapes
Grandeur revealed
Let it be done
Lightning
Majesty
Comeliness
Thundering
Travesty
Righteousness
At Reconciliation’s Moment
His glorious appearing subdues
Across the pitch-black of lightlessness

Jesus (2009-7-21)

In vain
My Name
crosses your path.
You don’t heed
the muted moans
from tissue tearing,
pierced by thorns,
talons and spikes
pounded purposefully
each time
you mock Me.
I’m someone
else to you.

Last Supper (2009-7-21)

Last Supper

Tasted, the wine and the bread speak to me
liberty from critique

released by compensation’s disbursement
meant to change what’s remiss

I cling to the memory of your work
and shirk not at your love.

Poetry – You Woo Me Still (2009-7-9)

You Woo Me Still

The fires of your love

Burn deep and deeper

As embers within my chest;

In silence or in sleep,

In solitude or darkness,

In prayer or song,

In gladness or in joy,

I am persuaded.

Each breath of life

Is but a decoy

To catch up all I am

Flitting away

Unto your affections.

I turn at the scent

Of passion’s presence,

In a dazed [...]
